Day One will engage women, girls, and allies from across the country through inspiring mainstage sessions, issue-breakouts, opportunities to connect with leading fellow changemakers, and an interactive center with organizations and women-owned businesses. You’ll choose 2 breakouts on Saturday: 1 from Session A and 1 from Session B. When you’re not in your breakouts, you’ll be able to take a break for lunch and explore The Center, where over 150 organizations and businesses are hosting activations!

On Day Two, attendees will fan out across Los Angeles to attend skills-based trainings or Community Teach-In’s hosted by a range of organizations that are making change on gender equity in Los Angeles. Please keep an eye out for an email from your Day Two Host with location instructions.

Being a Woman in Today's Media World
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Women are influencing and shaping the media more than ever before, but men are still positioned to tell more of the stories and decide which (and whose) stories get told. Add to that fake news, online trolls, and the harassment that follows women across platforms, and it’s clear that the mediasphere is still a challenging place for women to engage. During this candid conversation with leading mediamakers and influencers, we’ll explore their experiences and discuss how women can leverage our rising media prowess and power to change the field.

Can Stories Help Save Us? How to Use Our Words to Shape the World We Want
The stories we tell have the power to shape our world. Stories are how we make sense of what’s going on around us. They help us to see ourselves and others differently, which can change what we think and believe. And in today's connected world, we now have access to stories anywhere, anytime. So how do we seize this huge opportunity? Hear from creatives using storytelling to break boundaries -- in film, television, literature, comedy and more -- and learn why telling *your* story is a crucial part of how you can create change.
